As well as writing this blog and studying journalism at uni, I also try and get as much experience as possible. Here's what I've done so far:
October 2011 - Present: I'm currently editor for Hype magazine, which is created by Solent students for 18-30 year old's. You can check it out by heading to: www.issuu.com and searching for 'Hype Magazine Southampton'.
February 2011 - Present: I'm a Feature Writer for Pulse magazine - the staff magazine for Empire cinema. I interview staff, write features and compile stories to keep employees of Empire informed about what's going on within the business.
June 2011 - Present: Blogger for Accessory Freaks online - a jewellery website, which has regular posts on day-to-day news and other beauty/fashion bits and bobs
Jan-May 2011: moremagazine.co.uk - I was a 'mini-blogger' for the magazine's website and regularly contributed about what was going on in my life and things that would interest readers of the magazine.
July 2010: Heat magazine work experience - Rodrigo from Big Brother came into the office when I was there. When I wasn't being nosey about celebrities, I helped run errands, assist the Editorial Assistant with the running of the office and fetch the important things: tea and biscuits.
Feb 2010: More! magazine work experience - I got sent to take Alan Carr a copy of Sharon Osbourne's new book. The man at ITV thought I was part of Rihanna's band - if only I could still play the recorder. I was here for a fortnight and helped brainstorm feature ideas, research man facts, research features, assist with the Editorial Assistant and help staff with errands.
November 2009: More magazine: "Why Do Women Nag?" feature.
April 2006: Bliss magazine work experience - My first insight into the magazine world. This is where it all began...
